Anchor- consists of more than two chips which lies in the opponent's part of the board

Joker- can turn the game over because it may be considered as one lucky form of roll in favor of the one who has it

Pip Count- it is the points a player needs to take in order to stay in the game. Each player has 167 pip count to start the game.

Points- there are twenty-four points, but they do not mean score. These are the triangles that represent the spaces in the board. However, they can also be used to score depending on how much the game is worth. Example, if the player wins single game, it is one point, "gammon" is worth two points or double game, in addition backgammon is also considered to be a game in triples.

Gammon- when the player bears off the entire opponent's chip with the opponent not bearing off yet.

Backgammon- it is what the game is called, and also a win. This happens when the player bears off the entire opponent's chip with the opponent not staring to bear off yet, with the opponent having a blot on the bar.

Bear Off- is performed by removing the opponent's backgammon chips off the board.

Blot- one backgammon chip vulnerable to an attack.

Hit- to attack the opponent's blot and the blot is then put on the center bar of the board.

Hit and Cover- attack the opponent's blot, use the same chip to defend your blot left exposed.
